House Managers

Unlike the estate manager, the House Manager is not required to manage the grounds of the estate. He or she is fully responsible for the internal running of the home or homes of the employer. This involves the hiring of household staff; managing the staff and creating their work schedules; liaising with vendors; managing the household budget; overseeing home remodeling projects; supervising the care and maintenance of the home’s fine furniture, art, antiques, china and other valuables; handling travel arrangements; and overseeing the planning and organization of social events in the home.
