Chauffeurs and drivers must be well groomed, personable and have impeccable manners, always treating clients with the utmost courtesy. The nature of their job demands that they always be punctual for all their assignments. Clients should not be made to wait under any circumstances. Any applicant for this position is required to have a clean driving record and must be a careful but smart driver. Good chauffeurs always map out routes in advance and always have alternative routes prepared in case of gridlock. Some chauffeurs also work as bodyguards, in which case their rates are different. Private chauffeurs or drivers are employed by clients who are responsible for providing the chauffeurs or drivers with cars. All expenses such as gas, tolls and vehicle maintenance are the client’s sole responsibility.
